Richer than Beyonce started as a joke. I was catching up with a good friend and we were chatting about volunteering for the Sophia Amoruso event for Business Chicks. I sad “Did you know she is richer than Beyonce?” We started laughing when I said I totally love that saying! So I decided to buy the domain name and it grew from there. Sometimes the most random ideas are the best. I’ve learnt so much from talking to seniors and folks with disabilities. They may not have much but they see the beauty in everyday moments. And I believe that is truly wonderful. Sometimes we get caught up in everyday life and forget to cherish the small things. So every day I will post something that makes me happy. You can be rich in many ways. It is up to you to make the most of it.
Celebrate Living History
Celebrate Living History in conjunction with Tertiary Institutes, community groups and historical societies will develop digital content, exhibitions and publications to help close the gap between generations, reduce social isolation and promote positive aging. Our purpose is to connect with education providers and community groups to create a nation -wide internship program, which will value stories about history, community and culture for future generations. Celebrate Living History currently is self-funded by its founder Bev Wilkinson and has received support from community groups, historical societies, Monash University, Swinburne University and Griffith University. With humble beginnings Celebrate Living History arose from the need to document stories from seniors within the Mornington Peninsula. Our founder visited community groups within the area and discovered the wealth of information seniors had to share. This was the moment the idea to create a legacy building internship program was started. http://www.celebratelivinghistory.com.au/ View all posts by Celebrate Living History
