Sometimes my family drives me nuts but I’m always grateful that I have them to turn to.
My parents for Christmas always put on a big dinner full of yummy food and ham that lasts for days!
I’ve lost count of how many recipes you can create with ham! Ham soup, Ham sandwich, Ham with gravy….and the list goes on!
But I tell you what I don’t like about Christmas is the mad rush of people haunting shopping centres looking for presents in the lead up to the big day.
Somehow Christmas has lost its magic to me. I suppose it’s the whole you have to buy a present to make a person feel happy sort of thing. It should not feel that way, but I think it’s kind of sad that you can’t celebrate your friends and family often throughout the year.
It takes a holiday to bring people together. So this year I want to help others less fortunate than myself and I’ll be volunteering to help the homeless enjoy a home cooked meal.
I’m looking forward to helping folks feel important and be a star for one day.
And of course i’ll be having Christmas dinner with my family too! I can’t miss out on ham!
Quote of the day: Don’t go through life, grow through life.
