In between the buzzing of residents and phone calls a little spark of the world decided to hit my workplace.
I looked up and the sky was a brilliant shade of red peeking beneath the clouds.
It reminded me that I’m just a little duck in a big world. In the whole scheme of things this is just a busy moment in time. What I do now is my way of affecting my future. I want a better future. A brighter one where I can use my degree and be respected for my knowledge.
So I’m working many jobs so I can make this dream come true. I have just been chosen as a speaker for the Generations United Conference in Milwaukee. I am so excited to have the opportunity to speak on an international stage about my passion for connecting generations. Nothing makes me happier than being the person connecting elders with young journalism students through the organisation I have created Celebrate Living History.
I’ll keep plugging along so I can afford the conference fees, flights and accomodation. I will get there any way I can.
I’ve always struggled but I always find a way to make stuff happen. I believe if life was easy then it would be a very boring one. Roadblocks are just a way of making you fight for what you want.
