I really hate it when people ask why am I single? They always frown and say but your so nice and funny surely you can have someone in your life.
Sure I’m nice but I’m a serial job juggler. I think if I was in a relationship I would drive the other person nuts.
Maybe one day someone will put a ring on it (Sorry I had to quote Beyoncé) but for now I’m happy to focus on making my dream happen. That means when other people play I work. I’ve always worked the hours no-one else wants to.
I was chatting to my work buddies discussing the roster. One of the ladies was chatting about her husband. She says they never see each other. And it’s so hard. He works during the day and she during the night. They see glimpses of each other. She said she has to give away the weekend shifts so she can spend more time with the family. She constantly feels guilty.
I would hate to be in that situation but it rings true for many people. It’s important to find balance in work but most of all life.
Once I’ve raised enough money to travel around the United States. I will slow down and examine what makes me happy. The way I’m going now is just short term, I don’t want to burn out that’s for sure. I want to breath and smell the flowers.
Quote of the day: I believe in my heart, we were intended to prize life and enjoy it, so long as we retain it. Existence never was originally meant to be that useless, blank, pale, slow-trailing thing it often becomes to many. Charlotte Bronte
