Yesterday I left my phone at work and I could have panicked but I thought this is a great way to take a break from technology.
Well ok I must admit I panicked a little bit. But then I relaxed this was a way out of always being connected.
Somehow a little phone means so much. Its a way of connecting with the world. Every minute you can check the news and catch up with friends.
But I feel I’ve lost the ability to live in the moment. To be able to really be in the moment. And I feel kind of sad that I can’t fully be aware of my surroundings.
Its like after a shift at work, we all went inside the lift. Instead of talking about the day we all looked at the little screen on our phones. It was painful, you can be surrounded by people but never utter a word.
While I have my phone back now, I’m going to take more time to enjoy my surroundings. To really enjoy the moment. To talk more to people. To smile. To live in the real world.
