Grateful for the ability to save

I heard about the Generations United Conference last year, when I was applying for the Winston Churchill fellowship.

I fell in love with what the conference represents, so far this is the only organisation in the world that attracts folks who are passionate about connecting generations.

Connecting generations is what I’m passionate about and is one of the main reasons why I set up Celebrate Living History which is an organisation created to connect young students with seniors.

So when I did not get an interview for the Winston Churchill fellowship, I was somewhat disappointed but then I realised I can do this on my own.

I managed to get a job in disability care and over the holidays I worked like crazy. Sometimes seven days a week!

But I made it to my goal and now I have my savings to help float my dreams.

I’m going to be a speaker on an international stage talking about what makes me happy. I want to inspire others to follow their dreams. No matter how big.

If I can do it, you can too.

Quote of the day: If you think in terms of a year, plant a seed: if in terms of ten years, plant trees; if in terms of one hundred years, teach the people. Confucius
